Bonggal Jordan Hutagalung

Bonggal Jordan Hutagalung is a ceramic artist who was born in Yogyakarta, 1988. The artist, who’s familiarly called with Bonggal, has graduated from FSRD ITB. His consistency in ceramics has led him to his artistic career in various national and international exhibitions. Bonggal’s interest in the ceramic medium is because of ceramics, which has a dualism between resistance and brittleness. Ceramics can be very durable for hundreds or even thousands of years, and it can be very brittle from pressure and impact.

Through ceramics, he often raises a daily problem theme in notes similar to journals or questioning auto critics about art itself.
