Art Stage Jakarta 2018: (Im)Perfection
Erwin’s still life speculates about the language of subtle affection, compared to the perceived reality about himself, family, friends, neighbors, the art scene, and of course, nature itself. It drives into the process of gathering and dressing up these abandoned things together with something conspicuous, alluring, and sweet. He sets up this strange combination of objects for the audience, on the wall, inside vitrine, or upon a pedestal. Providing a space of possibilities to be together for those formerly mismatched; to a dreamscape about harmony.
