Patriot Mukmin

Patriot Mukmin was born in 1987 in Tangerang. He graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design at Bandung Institute of Technology in 2010. His trademark is creating art pieces that involve optical illusion. From 2014 he started using historical events that happened in Indonesia as a reference to his works. His art has been exhibited in several cities such as Bandung, Jakarta, Jogja, Bangkok, KL, Seoul, and Melbourne. He received first prize in the Bazaar Art Award 2011 art competition, and he was one of the finalists in both Bandung Contemporary Art Award 2012 and Indonesia Art Award 2015. He was also chosen as one of the artists to contribute his commission artworks to Balai Kirti in Presidential Museum in Bogor Palace - which was launched in October 2014. He also had presented several solo exhibitions such as KUP: Titik Silang Kuasa 66-98 in Lawangwangi Creative Space (2015), Vox Populi in Jeonbuk Museum of Art, South Korea (2016), Treachery of Paintings in Art Jakarta (2017), and Empty Unempty at Fuwari no Mori, Japan (2019).
