YOGYAKARTA, INA, 2018
Living and working in Yogyakarta, Handiwirman Saputra is known through his sculptures and paintings that impress(?)/ inscribe the world of everyday objects through fine-tuned shaped objects. Making use of measurements and dimension, his massive and small works mock the audience’s perceptions, utilizing the memory to poetically contemplate the basic mindset of humans. He is still actively participating in exhibitions and his works are being collected internationally, thus he was invited to participate in the latest Venice Biennale central pavilion in 2019.
