View/Preview ’26 marks a pivotal milestone for ArtSociates. This exhibition serves as the inaugural presentation held in our newest space in Jakarta. After dedicating 19 years to the art scene in Bandung, in 2026 ArtSociates is undertaking a strategic expansion to the capital, specifically located at Jakarta Art Hub 2, Ranuza Building, Thamrin, Central Jakarta. As a title, View/Preview ’26 is designed to be both a window into and a projection of the artistic trajectory we will traverse throughout this year. This exhibition curates selections of works from artists who will collaborate with us on various upcoming projects. We present works by Gregorius Sidharta, Umi Dachlan, Lian Sahar, and Mujahidin Nurrahman—a continuation of the narrative from the exhibition “Imba: Dari Abstraksi ke Abstrakisme” currently running at Salihara Community. Furthermore, we feature works by Dzikra Afifah and Louise Henryette as a prelude to their exhibition at ArtSociates Bandung in late January 2026. The spectrum of this exhibition also includes works by Fadjar Sidik, Aming Prayitno, Maharani Mancanagara, Meliantha Muliawan, and Rendy Raka Pramudya, which are prepared for our participation in Art Jakarta Papers. Going further, we also offer a preview of upcoming solo exhibitions at ArtSociates Bandung by a lineup of artists with diverse characters: Daniel Kho, Alessio Ceruti, Ugo Untoro, Agnes Hansella, Dwipuspita Pangastuti, and Endang Lestari. Specifically for the Jakarta space, we are exhibiting works by Nesar Eesar and Eddy Susanto, who are scheduled to hold solo exhibitions at this gallery later this year. We also specially present a video work by Hoo Fan Chon, which will be part of an upcoming exhibition at ArtSociates Bandung curated by Gunalan Nadarajan (one of the jurors for BaCAA 8) and co-curated by Roopesh Sitharan. To complete this year’s vision, we present aesthetic explorations from Balinese artists in the “Post-Tradisi” exhibition project at ArtSociates Bandung, represented by Darmika Solar, Made Chandra, Kadek Dwi Darmawan, and Kuncir Sathya Viku. We hope View/Preview ’26 provides a comprehensive overview of ArtSociates' vision and artistic agenda in 2026. Please enjoy the exhibition.
